Well yesterday I got my new assignment for my Studio (Art) class and we have to do a collaboration work with someone else in our group. So Me and this other girl in my group decided to work together and we where talking about how we would want to do a design project, then I started talking about something I have been thinking about for the last couple weeks; Human Trafficking.
(Just if you didn't know, Human trafficking is where children, girls and boys, in poor places are sold, stolen, or tricked into becoming slaves and prostitutes by people taking advantage of their situations)
So we have decided to do an art design project to raise awareness about Human Trafficking, not just in the world, but also how there are cases of it in New Zealand (and other Western Countries) which I don't think many people know about.
We are going to make posters and stick them up all around town. We are also thinking about making t-shirts that people would buy and then the money from that would go to an organization that is involved in trying to stop human trafficking. As well, we are going to try get our designs etc into the University magazine (not just out University but hopefully others as well).
I is going to be a lot of work for the both of us, especially because in terms of the assignment we only have 6 weeks to do it in, and still have four final works (each?) to be marked...
Our first step is going to be trying to collect as much information about human trafficking, so if you are reading this blog and know of any good books/websites/organizations/contacts that we could get hold of that would be really helpful.
We are also going to start a blog to document each stage of our project.
I will probably make a youtube video about sometime too...
I really hope it goes well...and if you or anyone you know could help in some way that would be really awesome

Entry Thirteen
It's embarrassing that I am wondering how to spell the numbers in my title as they get higher...
So, it's been a while,
I've just handed in a HUGE project, and an essay...So I'm feeling pretty good at the moment,
although, I now have to write ANOTHER essay for a different paper, which I really don't want to do, but it's worth 40% of my mark for that class...
So I better do it, and I better do it well.
I think it's funny how there are so many circles of groups on YouTube and you can often feel like a social butterfly as you become more involved in one group or another.
At the moment I feel like I am involved in maybe one or two...maybe three groups of people, and then I feel like i'm on the out skirts of other groups...I don't know, its just very funny.
I think it also depends a lot on how much time you put in to talking to people and staying in contact. When I was still on holiday it was a lot easier to keep in contact with people, but now that I'm back at Uni, it's a lot harder...hmm (oh and just if you where wondering, I know this kinda thing happens in real life too).
I'm really looking forward to this weekend because I'm going to see the movie "Across The Universe" which i've been wanting to see for a very long time now. Then after I'm going to this bar called "Shadows" to see my friends band play! Then after that (other than work and writing my stupid essay) I have the whole next off! YAY mid-semester break!! It kinda sucks because of easter being early this year its only 1 week instead of 2, but to me, any break is wonderful!!!

Entry Twelve
...Oh dear...It's 3am...and I'm still online..
It's 3am and I REALLY want to be asleep in bed...but for some reason I'm up writing a blog. Makes complete sense I know!
I'm hating Uni so much at the moment...I mean...more than usually...I have all this crap due *tears* and I'm so behind...
Sigh...and now I'm also extra broke! cos i just went out and bought myself an ipod (which i'm real happy about except for the loss of money in exchange for it lol)...Tomorrow I have to go buy a cover for it so it wont get all scatched up..
and I also have to buy a tripod, so I can do some awesome photography!!!
Maybe i'll put a photo or two up once it's all finished... (which will be in a couple weeks)

sigh...and it sucks because i'm in there every week day with no break and i work on sundays so i only have one day "off" which is saturday which i then have to use as a catch up day for all the work i have to do...which sucks because all i want to do on saturday is sleep!!!
AHHHHHHH when will this madness end?!?!?! ...in about 2.5 years...sigh...

Entry Ten
Well, tonight has been quite eventful!
First some friends and I went to see Step Up 2, which is basically like any other hip-hop/dance movie, but the gags where funny, the leads where hot and the moves where amazing... What more do you need?? (ha)
After that we decided to head to Denny's as it was the closest and not as disgusting as Burger King (in my opinion).
Instead of getting desert there (which to tell the truth I was rather sad about because I was quite looking forward to a hot chocolate mud-cake...but oh well...) we thought it would be fun to buy desert from FoodTown and take it to this place where some of my friends where recording music for their band.
I bought a 2L tub of strawberry/vanilla/chocolate ice-cream (bad move), and grabbed about five packets of orange tic-tacs (Juno reference).
Upon arriving we found some spoons and started eating... Needless to say, I felt pretty sick from the ice-cream (I got like a 3rd of the way threw the tub with out throwing up, which was a plus)
Later, I was talking with some friends outside and this (about 14-ish) kid with a black t-shirt and camo pants was walking around and so we asked if he was ok, he asked to use a phone inside and we said, sure go for it.
About 15-20min after he left some of my other friends pulled up and told us about how the police where looking for someone (I have no idea why, but they had a radio in the car that could pick up police/planes/trains and the near by Mc D's radio signals) who had just stabbed their father... And it happened to be the kid with the camo pants and black t-shirt!!!
So as you can probably tell the night got pretty exciting with calling the cops and more run-ins with the stabber kid..etc. etc.
Other than that, Uni is lame, assignments are killing my soul and I have enough readings to sink a ship...sigh... F.M.L!!!

Entry Nine
OMG! My first week back at University is finally over!
I can't believe it's only been a week, it feels like at least four...I have so many assignments and readings to do, it's terrible!
I was cool catching up with friends from last year :-) and running into friends who have just started this year.
Ever heard of this t.v. show "Skins" ? No?... Well, it's a british "teen-drama-comedy" type show and it's sucked me in!
I must admit though, I do have a bit of a soft spot for that kinda thing... I randomly started watching it on YouTube last night...and now i've decided I'm going to try watch the whole thing (so far) from the start of season 1 onwards.
It's funny because I remember them advertising it on t.v. ages ago, but i never really watched it or gotten into it... But now, all of a sudden I have!
Ha! Same thing happened with "Veronica Mars"...I never watched it on tele... Then one night I just started watching it from the start all the way to the end of season 3 (I'm a Piz fan SORRY!!!) ...I'm so sad that they canceled it so suddenly! It never got to have a proper ending, you're just left on this annoying cliff hanger of frustration!
Oh well, Lol
Anyway since it is now the weekend and I have Saturday to sleep all day and party all night, I'm going to go watch some more episodes of "Skins" (check it out)
